Last week, we had the chance to have dinner with Marc Ouayoun, President and CEO of Porsche Cars Canada, Ltd. Even though he has had a busy schedule, Mr. Ouayoun took time out to attend Luxury Supercar Weekend in Vancouver, BC and then have dinner with a select group of invitees. For Luxury Supercar Weekend, there was something spectacular that Porsche had brought – the first Porsche ever built, the 356. The car, which Mr. Ouayoun says is priceless (I agree) is making a world tour with stops in North America and Asia.
Mr. Ouayoun took over as head of Porsche Cars Canada on January 1st, 2018 and brings with him over 20 years of automotive experience. He began his career at Daimler in 1995 and held various marketing, customer relationship management, retail, and sales positions in France and Great Britain. He joined Porsche in 2006 to oversee the sales and network development of the French subsidiary.
In 2011, Mr. Ouayoun became Managing Director of Porsche France and under his leadership, sales increased by 75% within just 6 years.
Mr. Ouayoun holds a Master’s degree in International Marketing from Emlyon Business School in France.
In addition to cars, of which he has owned the 944, 928, 911, and 930 models, Marc Ouayoun enjoys his fine wines. During this dinner, we sampled some great Canadian wines – he said that BC wines were among his favourite. You have good taste, Mr. Ouayoun!
